Begin your day with a pick up from your hotel/residence or airport early morning i.e.06.30hrs and drive to the park main gate – early mornings is recommended as it is the best time when most animals come out to graze, with luck getting the last of the nocturnal species rushing back to their hide-outs. The park is home to the big cats i.e. lion, leopard, cheetah as well as man other animals. Over 400 bird species has been recorded here. Several swamps are home to large herds of hippos and crocodiles. Continue with game drive as you enjoy the golden sunrise over the city’s backdrop. The park also serves as a sanctuary for both white and black rhinos.
Get to sit a one of the designated picnic sites within the park to enjoy your snack before continuing with game drive. Just before the exit, visit the ivory burning site – where over 100 tonnes of ivory has been burned by Kenya’s leaders and conservationists.
Head out through the exit at the main gate and drive back to your hotel room. You can also combine this tour with a visit to the other many attractions nearby.
