Day to Day Itinerary
Day 1: Nairobi – Masai Mara reserve.
Pick up from Nairobi hotel or international airport and drive to Masai Mara (approximately 4 hours’ drive). Short stop at the great Rift valley viewpoint with a chance to take photos of this breathtaking landscape. Continue to Narok, the last town before you head to the Mara wilderness – a time to do some shopping for personal effects or get some local currency. Arrive Masai Mara, Sekenani gate and continue with game drive on the way to your camp arriving for lunch.

Day 2: Masai Mara reserve.
An early morning balloon safari over the Mara (optional extra) or take an early morning game-drive followed by breakfast at the lodge. After lunch proceed on a late afternoon game-drive.

Day 3: Masai Mara reserve – Lake Naivasha.
Morning game drive followed by breakfast and check out. Drive to Lake Naivasha arriving at your lodge for lunch. In the afternoon, enjoy a one-hour boat ride at Lake Naivasha.

Day 4: Lake Naivasha – Amboseli national park.
Breakfast, check out and drive from Lake Naivasha to Amboseli national park, arriving for check in and late lunch. In the late evening, go for a game drive.

Day 5: Amboseli national park.
An early morning game drive followed by breakfast at the lodge. After lunch proceed on a late afternoon game-drive.

Day 6: Amboseli national park – Arusha
Early breakfast, then depart at 07.30hrs with picnic lunches, transfer to the Namanga border of Kenya and Tanzania border (approximately one hours’ drive). You will be met by your driver guide at Namanga Border and transfer to Mountain Village Serena lodge. On the way you will encounter many things, a great opportunity for learning and discovery. Lunch at the lodge with afternoon at leisure. You may get yourself a drink at the bar as you wait for dinner.
Day 7: Tarangire National Park
Breakfast, carry packed lunches, check out and drive out to your first Tanzania national park, the beautiful Tarangire national park. The park is known for large numbers of elephant. Its primary landscape is dry, open woodland scattered with hundreds baobab trees. You’ll explore the park in your private vehicle, stopping for a picnic lunch during your game drive. There is a significant population of common wildlife as well as few localized and unique species including gerenuk and fringe-eared oryx. Animals tend to concentrate along the Tarangire River, which provides the only permanent water supply in the park. During the evening you will drive to the lodge for dinner and overnight.
Day 8: Lake Manyara National Park
After breakfast, visit the stunning Lake Manyara National Park. Despite being one of the smaller National Parks in the nation, it nevertheless has a lot to offer. Expect to see large groups of baboons in the dense forest canopy, herds of elephants leisurely moving over the plains and if you’re lucky, possibly even tree-climbing lions.
Around the soda lake, there is a fascinating diversity of species including buffalos, warthogs, giraffes, wildebeests, zebras, and a large number of pink flamingos. The small Hippo pool is always a highlight since it provides great chances to see hippos and breathtaking vistas of the Rift Valley Escarpment. You will have lunch at a picnic site and proceed searching for game viewing opportunities. Drive to the lodge around sunset for dinner and overnight
Day 9: Game en route to Serengeti National Park
After breakfast you will depart to Serengeti National Park. You will pass through expansive green hills and across flat lowlands on your way from Karatu to Serengeti, taking approximately 4 hours. Arrive at the camp for check-in and lunch. Afternoon at leisure, followed by a late evening game drive in Serengeti. Your guide will choose the best wildlife viewing locations depending on the time of the year. Spend time at the hippo pool, watching these enormous animals laze about in the cool water alongside the crocodiles, watch a lion stalking its prey, or be amazed by the scale of the great wildebeest migration. A 17:30 return to the lodge for dinner and overnight.
Day 10: Full Day Serengeti National Park
Today after breakfast you will head out for a full day game drive. You will journey from open plains to the kopjes, volcanic rocky outcrops that provide protection and shelter for a wide variety of animals. This diverse and interesting landscape will provide you with the ultimate in-game viewing opportunities. Serengeti is home to the great migration over the huge flat plains, you are likely to come across predators like lions, cheetahs, leopards, hyenas and many other small predators. You will have lunch with the great view of the horizon in one of the designated picnic sites. After a successful day of game viewing, you will drive back to camp for dinner and overnight.
Day 11: Ngorongoro Crater
This morning after breakfast you will depart to Ngorongoro Crater via Ngorongoro Conservation Area, a multiple land use where animals and people have managed to co-exist together in harmony. Once at Ngorongoro, you descend down the crater, a wonderful haven for wildlife. Ngorongoro is unique that almost most animals live within the crater walls, hence you have the opportunity to view a lot of animals in one game drive only. Rhino in particular can be seen, as well as prides of lion and other predators like cheetah. You will enjoy lunch by the hippo pond then proceed with game drive in the self-sustaining ecosystems. As the sun sets you will ascend the crater and drive to the lodge in Karatu for dinner and overnight
Day 12: Depart
After breakfast at lodge, enjoy your last moments in Northern Tanzania as you drive back to Arusha. You will stop at Mto wa mbu for a local market visit, this is an opportunity to meet and interact with the locals, see and learn how they conduct their normal daily activities. You will get to Arusha good time for lunch and transfer to Kilimanjaro International Airport to catch your flight back home or be transferred to Namanga Border.
